Professor’s question:

In our discussion about modern educational tools, let's focus on textbooks. Many schools are transitioning from traditional paper books to digital versions on tablets or laptops. Digital textbooks are often cheaper and more interactive. However, some studies suggest that students retain information better from physical books and experience less eye strain. Which format do you believe is more beneficial for student learning, and why?

I believe digital textbooks are much better for today's students. They are more convenient because you can carry all your books on one device. Furthermore, they often include helpful features like search functions and interactive videos, which can make learning more engaging and effective for different learning styles.

Student response 2:

I disagree; traditional paper books are superior for focused learning. It's easier to take notes in the margins, and there are no digital distractions like notifications or the internet. Because of this, I think students can concentrate better and remember the material more effectively with physical copies.
