Professor’s question:

As technology changes how we access information, the debate between digital textbooks and traditional print textbooks continues. E-books offer convenience, searchability, and are often more affordable. However, some studies suggest that reading from a physical book can lead to better comprehension and retention. Which format do you believe is more effective for university-level learning, and why?

Student response 1:

I think e-books are far more effective for today's students. They are incredibly convenient because you can carry an entire library on one device. In addition, features like keyword search and highlighting make studying for exams much more efficient than flipping through hundreds of physical pages.

Student response 2:

I believe physical textbooks are superior for serious learning. Reading on a screen can lead to digital fatigue and distractions from notifications. Moreover, the physical act of turning pages and writing notes in the margins helps me engage more deeply with the material and remember it better.
