This is an important public service announcement from the Bridgewater Department of Transportation. The Old Mill Bridge on Route 5 will be fully closed to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic for urgent structural repairs.

The closure will begin at 10:00 PM on Friday, April 12, and the bridge is expected to reopen by 5:00 AM on Monday, April 15. This work is critical to ensure the long-term safety and stability of the bridge.

During this period, all traffic will be rerouted. Drivers are advised to use the Henderson Bridge as the primary alternate route. Please plan for potential delays and allow for extra travel time. We appreciate your patience as we complete this necessary maintenance.
