Professor’s question:
A common topic among university students is whether to take on a part-time job during the semester. Some argue that working provides valuable real-world experience and financial independence. However, others claim that a job can be a major distraction, taking time away from studies and potentially leading to lower grades. Do you think the benefits of a part-time job for a full-time student outweigh the potential negative impacts on their academic performance? Why?
Student response 1:
I think having a part-time job is very beneficial for students. It teaches crucial time-management skills and provides financial relief, which reduces stress about tuition and living costs. As a result, students can become more responsible and better prepared for a career after graduation.

I believe students should focus primarily on their studies. A university education is demanding, and a part-time job consumes time and energy that could be spent on coursework or campus activities. For instance, students with jobs might miss out on networking opportunities or valuable internships.
