Professor’s question:

In recent years, many universities have shifted from traditional print textbooks to digital formats. E-books offer benefits like portability, searchability, and often a lower cost. However, some research suggests that students have better reading comprehension and information retention with physical books, and that digital screens can be a source of distraction. Which format do you believe is more beneficial for university students' learning? Why?

I think digital textbooks are the better choice because they are much more convenient. Students can access all their course materials on a single laptop or tablet instead of carrying heavy books. Furthermore, features like keyword search and hyperlinks make finding information for assignments much faster and more efficient.

I believe traditional print books are superior for effective learning. Reading from a physical page helps me concentrate without the constant temptation of notifications or other websites.
