Dear Members,
Join us for our first lecture of the new year! The County Historical Society is pleased to present a fascinating talk on the history of one of our area's most iconic landmarks, the Old Mill on the river.
The lecture, titled "From Grains to Landmark: The Story of the Old Mill," will be given by local historian Dr. Alaina Reed, a professor at Northwood University. She will discuss the mill's construction in the 1880s, its role in the local economy, and its eventual preservation.
The event will take place on Thursday, January 19, at 7:00 p.m. in the main auditorium of the Civic Hall. This event is free for all Historical Society members. Light refreshments will be served afterward. We hope you can join us for this enlightening evening.
Best regards,
Thomas Schmidt
