Proponents argue that uniforms create a more disciplined learning environment and reduce peer pressure related to fashion, which can ease financial burdens on families. On the other hand, opponents contend that uniforms suppress students' individuality and self-expression, which are crucial for personal development. In your view, do the social benefits of school uniforms outweigh the impact on individual expression? Why?

Student response 1: I am in favor of school uniforms because they promote a sense of equality among students. When everyone wears the same thing, there is less focus on who has the most expensive clothes. As a result, it can reduce bullying and help students concentrate more on their studies rather than their appearance.

Student response 2: I disagree with mandatory uniforms. I think they restrict a student's ability to express their personality, which is an important part of growing up. For instance, clothing is one of the main ways young people explore their identity, and school policies should encourage that freedom, not take it away.
