Your professor is teaching a class on education.

Professor’s question:

In many university classes, professors assign group projects to encourage teamwork and collaboration. However, some students argue that these projects can be unfair, as workloads are often distributed unequally among team members. In your opinion, are group projects a valuable learning tool, or do they create more problems than they solve? Which type of assignment do you think is more effective for learning and why?

Student response 1:

I think group projects are very beneficial because they teach us important skills for our future careers, like communication and compromise. For instance, working with different personalities prepares us for the real world. This collaboration is something individual assignments simply cannot offer.

Student response 2:

I disagree because group projects often lead to frustration. Some students do all the work while others contribute very little, yet everyone gets the same grade. As a result, it feels unfair and doesn't accurately measure individual understanding. Therefore, individual work is a better measure of learning.
