Dear Archaeology Students,

The Archaeology Department is seeking student volunteers for our annual summer excavation at the "Old Mill" historical site. This is a fantastic hands-on learning opportunity and a great way to gain practical field experience from July 18th to July 22nd.

The project involves mapping the site, excavating test pits, and processing artifacts found on location. No prior excavation experience is necessary to participate, as training will be provided on-site by faculty members and graduate students.

An informational meeting is mandatory for all interested volunteers. It will be held on June 30th at 4:00 PM in the Anthropology Building, Room 201. We will cover the project goals, daily schedule, and safety protocols.
