Professor’s question:

In our discussion on modern education, we've examined the role of technology. Many universities now offer fully online degree programs, which provide flexibility for students who cannot attend classes on campus. However, traditional in-person learning offers direct interaction with professors and peers. Which educational approach do you believe is more effective for university students, and why?

Student response 1:

I believe online learning is more effective for today's students. It offers incredible flexibility, for instance, allowing students with jobs or family commitments to study whenever they can. Moreover, it teaches important self-discipline because you have to manage your own schedule to meet deadlines without a professor physically present.

Student response 2:

I think in-person classes are far more effective. The classroom environment encourages spontaneous discussions and collaborative projects, which are crucial for developing communication skills. As a result, students in physical classrooms often feel more engaged and connected to the material and their peers, which enhances learning.
