Dear History Students,

I'm excited to announce a new upper-level history course for the fall semester: HIS 320, "The Silk Road: A History of Global Connection." The course will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:00 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. in Davidson Hall, Room 201.

This course examines the ancient network of trade routes that connected the East and West. We will explore its impact on culture, commerce, and conflict from the Roman Empire to the 14th century. The prerequisite for this course is the completion of any 100-level history class.

Registration for the fall semester opens on April 25. As this is a special topics course, enrollment is limited. I encourage you to register early if you are interested.
