Dear Visitor,
Due to unusually dry weather conditions and high fire risk, Redwood Valley National Park is implementing an immediate fire ban, effective July 1st. This measure is crucial for protecting the park's unique ecosystem and ensuring visitor safety.
Under this temporary ban, all wood and charcoal campfires are prohibited in all campgrounds and backcountry areas. However, visitors may still use portable stoves that are fueled by propane, as they are self-contained and pose a lower risk.
We ask for your full cooperation. Park rangers will be monitoring for compliance. This ban will remain in effect until conditions improve significantly.
Thank you for helping us protect this natural treasure,
Redwood Valley Park Service
